Become a Citizens Advocate and make a difference in your Community

Our Advocates become the voice of the vulnerable person, share their stories, gain skills and confidence in their own lives and provide an invaluable service. Our Advocates are normal members of the Community who use every day skills such as listening, finding information, negotiating and speaking up for another person. If you are passionate about people and believe everyone should have the same opportunities and choices in life, can spare a few hours regularly then you could become an advocate. Advocates have told us how volunteering has made changes in their own lives -

'Made friends', 'I've gained confidence', 'I've been able to access great training courses'

Self- confidence, a healthier self-esteem and newly gained respect from others can all be surprising by products of the advocacy process.
