Apply to become a Citizen Advocate
Do you enjoy meeting new people and trying new things? Would you like the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life? Do you believe that everyone should have choices and opportunities? If so citizen advocacy could be just for you… Citizen advocates develop a voluntary long-term partnership with a person who has a learning disability, physical disability, mental health issue or chronic illness.
This opportunity is for anyone who cares about the rights of other people and who is willing to spare a few hours of their time regularly. We are holding a preparation course soon which will provide full training and more information about the role of a citizen advocate. Full, ongoing support and supervision is provided to all our Citizen Advocates.
Make a referral
We work with adults with a learning disability, physical disability, mental health issue or chronic illness, aged 16 to 65 and who live in the Central Fife area. Send us a brief e-mail using the e-mail link below. Let us know the name of the person you wish to refer, your relationship to them, reason for referral, and your contact details. We will then call you back as soon as possible to discuss the referral with you in further detail.
